To be honest, I don't know why I have started to blog (believe it or not, this is my 3rd blog site that i have started since my exposure to the Internet). Maybe it's because it's a way for me to express my general annoyance to the world (read: emo mode) or it's a way for me to kill time (read: procrastination mode). Either way, I figured it's a good way for me to improve on my writing style and skills in general.
Ever since i started my career in IT, my writing skills have deteriorated at an exponential rate, going from grade A literary papers down to grunt net speak where you write like you talk (which includes the abuse of the word 'like' and the annoying lolskating) with terrible syntax and grammar (and typos). Now, I can't seem to write a proper e-mail to my bosses/clients without having to re-read 10 times and each iteration is filled with self-doubt and uncertainty. Granted I can also get back into my former hobby of reading (I blame my former book worm self for my terrible eye sight) but when you have to juggle between work (and overtime), going out, going to the gym, sleep and catching up on TV shows, something has to give. I guess novel reading didn't make list.
Maybe i'll find time if i lived on the island instead of the suburb... right. I'll probably end up watching more TV shows or stay out later.
what's up with the little tiny font!
ReplyDeleteI used to be really insecure about the business mails... now that my workload increased i stopped caring.
You talked about moving out like 10 years ago. You're so going to run for Brossard Mayor.
